Devolution: American Heritage Dictionary:
- a passing down through successive stages
- degeneration as distinguished from evolution

Join Matthew C. Harding as he takes you on the journey he experienced as an unbeliever
from that of child to young man, how he compares it to scripture, and then warns parents
and children of the subtle and not so subtle dangers that assail us through the worlds
ideologies. Biblical principles defined by scripture and illustrated by personal experience
and testimony.

- Satan's lies infiltrating the church and our families
- Heroes and the hearts of our children - books and movies
- Connection between what we see and the path our feet and heart follow
- Ideas have consequences
- Importance of education, training, the Deuteronomy 6 way.

- My hero was a killer of Christians
- Path of enlightenment led to Satanic Bible and Out of Body travel
- Fantasy books, magic, and supernatural powers
- Cheating, lying, stealing
- Troubling belief in evolution

"Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful;
but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing
themselves to be wise, they became fools" Romans 1:21-22

Exhort: Webster 1828:
- To incite by words or advice; to animate or urge by arguments to a good deed or to any
laudable conduct or course of action.
- To advise; to warn; to caution

After spending the day with a family I complimented the father on how impressed I was
with him because of his children, their joyful countenances, their exhuberance for the
things of God, their servant hearts, etc. He smiled at me and said "If you could be a fly on
the wall in our home, you'd be as amazed as I am ... boy is God's grace a beautiful thing to
behold!"

We do rely upon God's grace when we fall short. But, fall short of what? God gives us
ample information in His Word to help us pattern the father's role. All too often we
pattern ourselves after unbiblical models, taught by our culture and our own experiences,
instead of by truth.

Come be a fly on the wall of the Harding Family's home, and see one man's struggle to
obey God and desire to become a scripturaly defined Daddy.

Some areas explored:
- Treat scripture with reverence
- Watch for areas where you are tempted to correct God's Word because of
your own personal itching ears.
- Winning the hearts of our children
- Engaging them in the battle
- Nobly pressing on when you become discouraged
- Areas where we better "purpose in our hearts"
